Our Giving Platform Is Changing
Alameda Food Bank is moving our online giving to a new platform starting September 15, 2026. We wanted to explain what’s changing, and what it means for you, the people who make our work possible.Â
Why we’re making this change
For years, Alameda Food Bank has relied on a database that only tells part of the story of our donors. We have found a platform that will give us, and you, a more secure, more modern giving experience — and help our team spend more time focused on serving our neighbors here in Alameda.
What’s changing, and when
All giving — one-time and monthly — is moving to a new giving page starting September 15, 2026. Until then, everything works exactly as it does today, including our current donate page.
If you want to give a one-time gift: nothing changes.Â
If you have a recurring gift: this is the one important change. Because of how our current platform works, your monthly gift cannot transfer automatically to the new system. Your recurring donation will end after its last-scheduled charge, and we’ll need you to set it up again. Starting September 15, we’ll send you a direct link to restart your gift — it only takes about two minutes.Â
What’s not changing: our mission, our gratitude, and our commitment to serving every neighbor in our community with dignity and respect.
