Food Donations

The Food Bank accepts donations of canned and other non-perishable foods in unopened containers.  We also accept limited quantities of perishable items like fresh produce, meats, dairy products, etc.  If you would like to make a food donation, please stop by the Food Bank during normal business hours to drop off your items.  Pick-up arrangements can be made for larger donations by calling the Food Bank at 510-523 5850.

Financial

Financial donations are used to purchase approximately 50% of the food distributed by the Food Bank.  We receive many food items through "in-kind" donations, yet we must augment these donations with purchased items to provide a nutritionally balanced food basket.  Thus, financial contributions to the Food Bank are equally as important as the food donations that support our efforts.

If you prefer not to use the on-line donation link above, donations can be mailed to us. Make checks out to the Alameda Food Bank. Our mailing address is as follows:

Alameda Food Bank
P.O. Box 2167
Alameda, CA 94501
