Won’t you help us, please? The Alameda Food Bank has decided to publish a community cookbook filled to the brim with the best recipes from friends and great cooks in our community—and we need your favorite recipes!
The best news of all? All of the profits from the sale of the cookbooks will directly support our 40-year mission to provide nutritious food to the low-income residents of the City of Alameda on a non-discriminatory basis. We hope these easy and convenient cookbooks will lead to delicious and new foods for us all, as well as become a cherished keepsake on our kitchen shelves.
We would love to have one or more of your favorite recipes to share as soon as possible. If your recipe is included, your name and your association, business, or simply “AFB Supporter” will appear printed in the cookbook with each of your own recipes!
We can also accept a clear photograph of a recipe if the other information is provided; no anonymous recipes.
Please return your recipes to us no later than August 31, by email using the form below, or hand deliver them to the AFB Trailer at 1900 Thau Way so we will be able to consider your recipes for inclusion in our cookbook.
Recipes should be personal or family favorites; we prefer an original (2 or more ingredients differ from a published recipe.) If you like, include a short comment or story to go with your recipe. You may also submit a picture (send it to firstname.lastname@example.org). A photo of a recipe is also acceptable if we can read it. Recipes may be edited for clarity. All decisions on whether to include a recipe, a comment, or a picture are reserved to the editor. Call 510-523-5850 if you have any questions.
By submitting this recipe you agree to inclusion in the AFB Cookbook.
